You can enjoy a morning on one of the many safe, sandy beaches, have
a round of golf, visit one of the historic castles which command stunning

a spectacular sunset from the cliffs at Rhossili before returning to

For the more energetic, the nearby beaches of Llangennith and Rhossili
are renowned for their ideal surfing conditions. Other water sports including
fishing, windsurfing and sailing can also be enjoyed or why not take a
boat trip around the southern coast of the peninsula and see the dramatic
coastline from a different perspective. Gower is ideal for those who like
to walk, with many well-signed footpaths along the cliffs and through
the gently sloping, wooded valleys, or you could hire a bicycle to explore
those intriguing little roads, which criss-cross the peninsula. Why not
get away from it all by pony trekking across the unspoilt moors and enjoy
an exhilarating canter along the sands at Three Cliffs Bay. There are
a number of golf courses on the Peninsula so whatever your handicap you
should find one to suit your game.

to have established an oratory in the 6th century to the Castles and fortified
manor houses of Oxwich and Weobley where once ruled the Lords of Gower.
